My name is Debbie and I have been a parent since 1973.
I have been doing daycare in my home since 1986.
I did some teaching in a nursery school from 1976-1980.
Experience:
I received my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2006.
I achieved my Child Development Associate Credential in June 2002
and renewed in 2005.
I received my teaching certificate from the Department of EEC
for infants, toddlers and preschool in the fall of 2002,
and Lead Teacher and Director II in 2005.
I am a member of NAEYC, Amesbury Daycare Provider’s Support Group,
and I belong to Amesbury/Newburyport’s CPC (Community Partnership for Children).
I enjoy working with children and I find that it is a very rewarding career.
A typical day at childcare may include:
Socialization Circle time

Writing center activities
Outside play (weather permitting)
Snacks and meals
Free play
Nap or rest time
